I think this lectorial has helped me most as it is a way to represent my subject matter, within my leaflet.
It also gave me a look into looking deeper at what visual shapes and textures represent in the picture, and who you feel about.
A helpful thing that I remembered was the warmer colours attract the eye, and cooler colours recede to the background. I will keep this in mind when creating my double pages, as whether to have either a cool palette or warm, or even both.
The above image really resonated with me in the lectorial, because it was simple but yet effective.
No explanation was needed after seeing it.
After the lectorial we all went back to class, and did a quick activity on what we thought on pictures and shapes and what they represented to us.
I found this activity helpful into understanding not everyone is the same, and that what may look like one thing to me, may look different to somebody else. Which is critical when working in the industry, since something you may not think of as offensive may be to someone else.
I also want to convey my ideas in the booklet so that everyone may understand at what Im trying to convey in the booklet.
The rest of the session I worked on my collages, I did a few but am not utterly fussed on any. Unfortunately the time before class I had a few ideas on what to do, and didn't write them down and eventually forgot them.
