Week 4 Monday

today we had a lectorial on typography, this lectorial made me thing a lot more about the type I'm am going to use in my booklet, and just how important is that the type complement and not to overpower the composition, but be unique enough to draw the eye of the reader into wanting to know about the information given in the booklet.

In class I focused on creating double page spreads, and familiarising myself with Indesign again. I thought I was making progress with double page spreads I ended up finishing two different locations after the one I had done over the weekend.

The city to coast, one was done during the weekend, I felt is was my strongest composition, and tried incorporating the style into my other locations. I felt the next strongest is the suburbs one. I must admit I do not like the city composition, I will have to rework it or get more imagery on it. I plan to revisit town later this week, and hopefully can get a better composition out of it.

On another not I like the type, but I feel just using the block of text at the bottom is a bit boring, so might try it with columns, and see how that goes. I not fussed on the type of the headings in the coast and suburb double page spread, but do like the one in the city.
Will change them, to match the city one. Hopefully they will work together. If they don't will change it to univers.
