Week 5 Tuesday

Today we had one on ones with another classmate. I found this very helpful for the design process, as it is another person looking at your work, whom of which has most likely not seen what you had developed before.
I guessed who I was partnered with and what her book was meant to be about straight away, but mine wasn’t as explicit as hers.

She thought mine initially was just scenic, but then I had to tell her it was scenic drives. I had shown a real rough copy of my booklet, as I was unable to print of my pages that morning before class.

Fay came over and had a look at each our books, I new I had been behind, and she gave me some good pointers in how to develop my double page spreads.
               – like having a little bold paragraph.
               – also to write down my points of similarity, instead of using symbols.

I went away and worked on my double page spreads, listening to what Fay had said.

After our one on ones with a classmate we had one on ones with Fay and Matt. I showed them what I had developed, both said it wasn't finished enough. It was suggested to place a line on top, on another double page I had the Locations/ Destinations of each drive and to put that underneath the line, also to put lines between the last paragraph, and to make the extra part after the question not bold.

After that feedback I went back to the drawing board.
I felt frustrated because I had did what Fay and Matt said but I felt it still needed a bit more.
A peer suggested I change the font of the heading, and the bold paragraph at the side and change it into a colour.

I chose the colours from compositions, I decided on a bold colour but one that could be legible on the white background.

It did look a lot better, I felt it had character. It was just time to find a headings font.
